Data privacy
Data privacy and security are top priority at WhyLabs
We know that security and data privacy are critical for all our customers and users. WhyLabs was designed to remove barriers for organizations to adopt and optimize ML applications - with peace of mind that their data is secure.
SOC 2 Type II
Service Organization Certification
One of the stepping stones in our commitment to security is our successful SOC 2 Type 2 certification. The SOC 2 Type 2 designation recognizes that WhyLabs meets all the infrastructure and data control policy requirements to regularly monitor for malicious or unrecognized activity, monitor user access levels, and document system configuration changes. Learn more about the certification here.
Data security features
We designed our SaaS platform, the WhyLabs AI Observatory, from first principles with privacy built-in. For more information, visit our security documentation page.
Privacy-Preserving
Raw customer data never has to be transferred outside of the customer perimeter, it doesn’t even need to leave the existing model training/inference environment.
Multi-tenancy
Built with a multi-tenancy-first architecture, we employ multiple layers of separation to ensure that paid customers’ data never inter-mix.
Data-agnostic
Our monitoring tools are data-agnostic; they don't require sensitive materials, and many of them don't require any personal data.
Authentication
End users can log in using an Identity Provider, leveraging WhyLabs’ support for the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) or via the “Sign-in with Google” OpenID service.
Data Encryption
Data submitted to the WhyLabs service by authorized users is considered confidential. This data is protected in transit across public networks and encrypted at rest.
